Most mechanics would charge you just for the time to look at the car. When they couldn't recommend a specific fix, they charged me $0.

I went to many mechanics and transmission places not just all over Washtenaw county but in Livingston county and Wayne county. Every single other transmission shop said they were not even willing to deal with warranty companies. Which I understand the reason, warranty companies cheat and love to wriggle out of paying. This was the only shop across multiple counties that was even willing to try dealing with the warranty company. And obviously I needed the fix. In the end, kale was able to negotiate successfully with the warranty company and do the repair I needed.

The entire team here rules. It’s hard to find a reliable mechanic that is honest, knowledgeable, and thorough and I can confidently say this place is all three of those things and more! Really diligent work at a great price. Won’t take my car anywhere else!!

My first visit to Advanced Auto and it will not be my last. I want to thank Kale and the mechanic who inspected the vehicle I was tempted to buy from a local dealer. They discovered some things and suspected others that helped me decide not to purchase that vehicle. Best money I ever spent. The explanations were clear and detailed, not hurried. I felt no pressure to spend more or leave quickly. i would definitely recommend their service.

I was expecting them to charge me just to take a look at the car. They said since they weren't able to give a reasonable diagnosis, they wouldn't charge me at all, not even for their time. I was impressed with that level of honesty, respect, and commitment to keep me as a long term customer. It worked. Now they are the first place I call, always. The guy at the front desk has always been chill and professional, very easy going and easy to deal with. Zero corporate scams at this place.
